Hi there, I’m Margaret! Kent Collective is my blog and online marketplace to meet, greet, and showcase the artists, makers, interior designers, and sustainable fashion brands who have made an impression on me. You will be introduced seasonally to my carefully curated selection of artisans and makers – all in one place. 

Kent Collective was born from a thousand seeds of inspiration. From art classes at all ages (where I wanted to stay much longer than the allotted class time) to walking artist booths and asking questions in highschool at the Wesleyan Artist Market...then years exploring galleries and befriending artists and creators in college and post-college in Charleston, South Carolina.

Kent Collective has long been in the making. 

As I began thinking and dreaming about how to pursue an artful living post-college, the questions I asked myself included, “how can I better connect my friends and community to the world of artisans I’ve had the opportunity to connect with?” and “could there be a gallery experience more exciting than just the old school physical location?” Also, “why can’t engaged couples register for artwork yet?” Kent Collective is my attempt to answer these questions and bring appreciation to the colorful and diverse artisans and brands I’ve had the pleasure of connecting with. 

I hope this platform serves as a celebration of the arts and a space where the talented people behind the artwork and brands share their stories.
